A group of graduates are striking a chord for the News Group tsunami appeal.

Kidderminster College musicians Saffron Box, Jonn Lighting, Allan Oaks and Rob Groucutt have formed a band to help the victims of the killer waves.

The Mitre Tavern, Lower High Street, Stourbridge, will host an all star Rhythm and Blues, Rock and Soul Review on Friday January 21.

A host of top talent will be helping out, including Craig Grove and Carrie Pickering from band Strange Town, Rick Lambe from the Curtis Little Band and Rob Fellows from Air Guitar.

Entrance costs £3 and doors open at 7.30pm.

Saffron said: "It has to be seen to be believed, you would be mad to miss out."
