Charity boost

From the archive, first published Friday 19th Jul 2002.

A DUDLEY charity, providing practical and emotional support to families under stress, has been given a £12,000 boost by the Lloyds-TSB Foundation.

The foundation pledged to help Home-Start Dudley, of Dixons Green Road, with running costs over the next two years. The charity offers its services to the whole borough and supports 18 families with 68 children between them.

Senior organiser Kitty Jenkins said: "The donation will ensure this service continues by raising awareness of Home-Start Dudley through a marketing campaign and enabling new volunteers to be fully trained."
